exquisiteheiress:

Just by looking at the picture above, I guess you are having an idea on what I’m trying to say.

This world is addicted to beauty. Look at the TV, what does it show you? It shows hot models and wonderful ladies. Check the internet. What does it offer? It offers photographs of skinny girls in their swim suits. Go to the department store, what does it offer? It offers the latest make-up and concealers to hide your ultimate flaws. Walk at the street; what do you see? I don’t know what you do; but from what I’m seeing, there are billboards of celebrities, and of course the dermatology department advertisements calling “Hey! Plastic Surgery here! ;)”

I’m not saying using make-up is bad, nor being skinny or wearing swimsuits is unpleasant. Continue reading. I’ll tell you what I have in mind.

When I was in 5th Grade (or 4th), I composed this song.

In times of need, In times of trouble, In times of pain, we need God and someone else… And that someone else is your friend is your friend…. Friends are family we choose; Friends are… Friends are….

And it goes on… You may think, this song is trash. But this song is something made from the heart, though this seems to be useless, it’s not! As you dig deeper, you may see its beauty and meaning. I would throw this because I believe this song is beautiful because I made if with my own skills, with my own hands, and I know I made it perfectly from my exact specifications.

God made everything perfect right? But as sin covers us, we became ugly. Then Jesus died for us.

We are all perfect, we sinned, we became dirty trashbags, then we were cleansed again because Jesus died for us.

God made you with His exact specifications as well. From dust, you were molded with HIS HANDS! You were made from God, beautiful, pleasing, perfect.

If you tell me you’re ugly, aren’t you criticizing what God did?

You know, when I was younger, i may be one of the most insecure people in the world. My nose is big, I’m not skinny, my thighs are fat, I’m not that tall… and the list goes on. Probably it goes the same for you. But as I grow, I realized things.

You may be the candidate for “the world’s most acne-d face” or the “fattest girl”; but let me remind you, you are beautiful.

I’m not saying this for the sake of making you feel good, but I’m saying this to remind you what the bible says in Song of Songs; Behold, you are beautiful, my love; behold, you are beautiful; your eyes are doves.

Let’s go back to the photos above. The girl above is flawless, her hair is long and shiny, her eyes are bright, nice lips; the girl below is wearing glasses, her eyes aren’t bright, her nose is a no-no, she has a doubled chin, what makes her look bad is her blank expression.

If I’m not a Christian and I don’t know what beautiful means, then I would clearly say “Damn, she’s ugly”. But no, she is beautiful; why? She is God’s creation, she’s made perfect with the exact specifications God wants her to have.

Song of Songs said in chapter 7 verse 6, How beautiful and pleasant you are, O loved one, with all your delights!

I believe that ugly is created for things. People are created for the adjectives beautiful, more beautiful, and most beautiful. The most beautiful ones are those who are women who seeks God first.

Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting; but a woman who fears the LORD is to be praised.Proverbs 31 says that charm is deceptive- it allures you but then you realize it’s fake; and beauty is fleeting- it is short-lived. But a woman who fears God, trusts God, relies on God, believes in Him, and was made to be born again- is to be praised, is to be admired, is to be applauded.

You may have the perfect hourglass figure, but later on, you’ll be a gallon of water. You may have the perfect eyes, but one day you will have the dullest ones. You may be the strongest…. But later on you’ll be weak; except if…

YOU RELY ON GOD.

What’s the use of plastic surgery if people despise for your falseness? What’s the use of heavy make-up if people hate you? What’s the use of beauty if your heart is empty?

How can you be called “beautiful” if you don’t consider yourself one yet?

Don’t be of this world, don’t follow the pattern it offers. Don’t be addicted to beauty. Don’t be a beauty buff.

Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will. Romans 12:2

LESSON 102: SMILE.

And that’s why I smile, It’s been a whileSince everyday and everything has felt this rightAnd nowYou turn it all aroundAnd suddenly you’re all I needThe reason why,I-i-i, I smi-i-i-ile (Avril Lavigne, SMILE)

I know the song is meant for love, relationships, and such. But God is also about those things. Once you’re in a relationship with Him, He’ll give you love, He’ll turn it all around, then He’ll be the reason why you’ll smile. :)

Lesson 101: Keep your feet on the ground.

What will happen tomorrow? It’s for you to find out. You may succeed, you may fail; you can’t fathom. So the best thing to do is stay put and keep your feet on the ground. Why?

If you keep off and let your boastfulness and pride surround you, you are ruining yourself. Tomorrow, you may fail, and the people you looked down may succeed. So, stay put, stay humble.

Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.” Matthew 6:34

Hi guys! I’m back for another 100 lessons.

This is what my blog is all about, if you would look at my description @ this page, you’ll notice it.

LESSON 100: Too often, we underestimate the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word, a listening ear, and honest compliment, or the smallest act of caring: all of which have the potential to turn a life around. It is truly from the small things in life where we learned about the greatest lessons. (via litratonijuan)

“Solo”
_________
Masarap ba minsan mag-solo?

It’s hard to be alone.

I believe we write our own stories and each time we think we know the ending, we don’t. Perhaps luck exists somewhere between the world of chance and peace that comes from knowing you just can’t know it all. You know, life’s funny that way. Once you let go of the wheel. You might end up right where you belong
